The PER.C6^® cell line is an extensively characterized human cell line specifically developed for industrial manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals and PER.C6 derived products have been tested in over 5,500 patients across 40 clinical studies worldwide with an outstanding safety record dating back to its development in 1995. The human origin of PER.C6 may contribute to the tolerability of produced proteins and reduce the risk of unwanted immunogenic responses. Its consistently high yields make this cell line ideally suited to the manufacture of biosimilar molecules, such as monoclonal antibodies as well as more complex therapeutic glycoproteins.
